KNBR's ultimatum to 95.7 FM guests; Howard Stern visits Black Hole? Bababooey to you all

Early in its inception, Entercom's Bay Area FM 95.7 'The Game' apparently caused mass paranoia at Cumulus sports stronghold, KNBR. How so?

KNBR sent out subtle salvos to guests/contributors: "Do the other guy's shows and risk not doing our shows."

The tactic didn't work. Now, many a phoners like Maicco, Urban, and the like not only appear regularly on 'The Game', but are getting paid. And Knibber is paying, (modestly, of course), its own "Insiders."

Maybe they'll get invited into the Saloon too. Lots of PBP on tap.

*Believe it or not dept: Howard Stern, in town for an industry confab, is headed to the Oakland Coliseum Sunday to take in Raiders-Pats. And a bababooey to you all!

  1. They pulled that on Maiocco and even said via Damon Bruce "He's dead to the station"
I know one insider who I notice is a true jerk-Steve Corkran who covers the Raiders. I can see why the local media finds anybody else to talk Raiders while ignoring the Cork. Bring back David White!
    Steve's an angry guy.

  6. What 95.7 does that drives me nuts is the Kars for Kids jingle-as said here before- but NOW its the Joe Staly Vision commercial where he drops into a 70's Huggy Bear pimp voice all through it. Its so racist. I'm not sure why its not taboo to go all ghetto voice but if Staly had done it like a chingy chongy Asian voice or Taco bell little dog voice, people would know THATS WRONG. And it is!
So,why does he get away with the Superfly act?
