KGO/KNBR state post Cumulus takeover; A preview

A few quickies for those of you asking what will transpire at KGO Radio and KNBR once the Cumulus takeover commences Thursday.

Initially, not much. At both stations. These things take time. In fact, listeners won't notice much of a difference, but within 90 days, I'm predicting and know immense changes, more so at KGO where ratings are down considerably. Don't be surprised if some major air talent, news and talk, move on and/or are forced out.

We will talk more about the specific changes soon. And believe me, there will be changes.

  1. If ratings are down shouldn't KGO be bringing in top talent?

  2. KGO hires Carol. What do you expect?

  3. Probably means Charles Karel Bouley, known as "Karel". I think he is wonderful! So glad he came back to KGO.
