He's insecure. Not an original thought in his brain, spends most of his time figuring out what he will say next, punctuated with his frequent 'sighs' and oh-ver-ee-nunse-ee-ay-ting. With Bruce off of 1050 12-3 I bet KGO and that FM sports station have more listeners.
Because Rod is one of the worst hosts on the air on any station. But they have to keep him, right? John Lund on 95.7 blows F&B out of the water. In fact he is better than the vast majority of the knbr hosts. Particularly with Pappa, they are brilliant together. Pretty good with Urban as well. I will never listen to F&B again.
the bigger question for me....brook's co-hosts always end up on the scrap heap, but he keeps his job. when they paired up, i figured it was the end of fitz. no such luck.
When Brooks was paired with Rick Barry, his basketball knowledge was once questioned by the Hall of Famer. They went to break and off air Brooks went on the attack mode. "Don't ever question my credibility, it is all I have."
@2:18 Rod Brooks is the only minority on air talent they have...which I believe is a reason they keep him.
I personally like Rod but can't stand Fitz. I believe Rod has some talent. The only thing I dislike about Rod is the way he belittle's or talks down to any caller that has a comment or opinion in contrast to what Rod's opinion is. I don't believe I have ever heard Rod apologize and see another person's point of view.

Yup! Started listening to Papa and Lund, who sounds a little like FP. Sounds good and I love those creative commercials that dig at KNBR. I'm not a KNBR Hater like some here but they are damn funny!!!
Rod is extremely lucky to be an African American man. It's the only reason he has a job in broadcasting and it's the only reason he has a job at KNBR. Think about it: a guy from Houston with virtually nothing to say and virtually no opinion about anything. How does a guy like that keep his gig? Exactly.
Rich, Please keep posting a Brooks & Fitz item every week. It is great to read the bashing. Listeners know a no-talent hack when you are on the air for three hours every day. Can anyone write something good about him?
They are a ventriliquist team. Fitz moves his mouth-Brooks says the words in his best black man accent. Rod,has no pride,no shame,and no ability to get a job where he's paid to be not a flunky. You know they are desperate sports hosts when they talk about mom(Rod) or kids (Fitz). "I need to feed them" is the begging inference...I notice when your a KNBR host who's getting ripped..you go tear jerker family stories. Like people with ethics don't have kids to feed too?-and they do it not being sellouts...
Truly one of the worst broadcasting duos in recent memory. They should have kept Fitz fired years ago and I cannot understand Brook's presence at all. Terrible sense of humor, overly sensitive, not very knowledgeable, given what his job is...enough is enough with these clowns
