Schwarzenegger story flusters Media; 'Awnold' will dominate the Day; The Tuesday Pulse

In this file photo taken Oct. 7, 2003, shows Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver ,as they celebrate his victory in the California gubernatorial recall election in Los Angeles.

How big is the Arnold Schwarzenegger story? Even some media members were taken aback. I believe shock would be the word of the day.

ABC's Steven Wright sounded incredulous over the Arnold news while speaking with KGO's Ed Baxter and Jennifer Jones-Lee during the morning news. Could you fault him?

On KCBS, political analyst, Marc Sandalow, was just as flustered. Speaking to Stan Bunger and Susan Leigh Taylor, Sandalow said Schwarzenegger's ten-year hidden nugget dominated the Washington media scene.

"I'm listening to the radio and the CBS lead item was that the former Gov. of Calif. fathered a child a decade ago and we're just getting wind of it. " (Which I might add, other than the LA Times, where was the media on this baby?, No pun intended.)

Indeed this is an out and out stunner. It will dominate the day. I'm sure Ronn Owens will lead off with this beauty in hour #1. Call screeners, get out your editing ears. Producers, keep an eye on the censor button.

Even Brian Murphy, part of the frat-boy show on Knibber where they rarely, if ever, get out of the Giants bubble, had to stop and dwell on this ferklempta over the goings-on of his beloved Timmeh Lincecum.

Should be an interesting day.

By the way, wonder what Maria's gotta be thinking.

  1. You can just imagine Ronn Owens Rolodex spinning like a top looking for for every possible feminist sympathizing Shrink he's ever had on the air.

Maria knew what she was getting into, so did we voters.

  2. Christine Craft has always called Arnold "The Boobengrabber," and has been speaking out about his loathsome behavior since he came onto the political scene. Come on, KGO, give the mike to Christine so we can hear what she has to say about this development.

  3. Where was the honesty and accepting responsibility when he was Gov? Republicans are such phonys-it should be called the Repressed Hypocrites and Bigot party!

btw-Bizarre KRON news story to report: Darya early today said "We are just learning about details of the Governor...blah,baby,blah,housekeeper,blah,10 years,etc"...then she says, "Now to Justine in the newsroom for details"..!..it cuts to a Justine with an incredulous look on her face -Justine then spends a minute or so repeating EVERY single thing Darya had just said-WORD for WORD,adding nothing. I wouldnt have been shocked if they then went to Radnich would make it a thrice peat!.
You think Darya sent a message? who's the star? and who will do breaking news? Oh,I think it was..

  4. The Radnich line "nobody cares" is applicable in this case. We expect WAY TOO MUCH from politicians.

  5. I care that Arnold gave a pardon to the son of a political buddy, which was a disgrace to the justice system. His personal life is none of my business, or yours.
