AP editors are on high alert. Ditto Reuters and CNN and virtually all the mainstream media.

April 1 is beckoning. The usual "fools" items and fake press releases are pretty easy to spot, but you'd be surprised how so much false info gets out.

The pranksters have become more sophisticated.

So, be advised if you hear some wacky item on the radio, its that day.
