  1. Once again a Republican right winger takes his hate on innocent people. Arizona's lax gun laws also show what open carry causes-point black shootings.
You only have to read the right wingnuts postings on SF Gate to see the wishful murderous hate of the conservatives.

  2. From the Phoenix New Times:
A classmate of the man accused of shooting Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords this morning describes him as "left wing" and a "pot head" in a series of posts on Twitter this afternoon.

Caitie Parker did not immediately respond to our request for an interview, but her "tweets" in the hours after the shooting paint a picture of Jared Loughner as a substance-abusing loner who had met Giffords before the shooting. She says, Loughner described the congresswoman as "stupid and unintelligent."

We've confirmed that Parker and Loughner went to school together at Mountain View High School in Tucson and that both attended Pima Community College, so her claims of knowing Loughner seem to be legit.

Parker "tweets" that she and Loughner were in the band together and were friends until 2007 when he became "reclusive" after getting alcohol poisoning and dropping out of college.

She describes him as "quite liberal" and as a "political radical."

Below is a log of "tweets" posted by Parker beginning around the time of the shooting.

Before you go blaming the right, better get your facts first.

  3. I'm no fan of Fox News. But, when I first heard of this and started flipping around, I thought Fox was doing the best coverage. During the consumer talk show on KGO radio, Michael Finney brought on Congresswoman Jackie Spier, who has some unique perspective on this given what happened to her and Congressman Ryan. If I understood her correctly, Ryan is the only member of Congress ever assassinated -- assuming Congresswoman Giffords survives. That's a pretty amazing and good thing. Unfortunately, the threats, mainly from the far Right, are at an all time high, by a long shot.

  4. Like I would beleive a Republican newspaper that claims a Liberal would shoot the closest thing to a liberal politician in Arizona?
If he was a true liberal,he wouldn't even have a gun.
A paranoid schizophrenic is what he was.

  5. The sheriff blamed the vitriolic political rhetoric that has consumed the country, much of it occurring in Arizona.

Giffords expressed similar concern, even before the shooting. In an interview after her office was vandalized, she referred to the animosity against her by conservatives, including Sarah Palin's decision to list Giffords' seat as one of the top "targets" in the midterm elections.

"For example, we're on Sarah Palin's targeted list, but the thing is, that the way that she has it depicted has the crosshairs of a gun sight over our district. When people do that, they have to realize that there are consequences to that action," Giffords said in an interview with MSNBC.

In the hours after the shooting, Palin issued a statement in which she expressed her "sincere condolences" to the family of Giffords and the other victims.

During his campaign effort to unseat Giffords in November, Republican challenger Jesse Kelly held fundraisers where he urged supporters to help remove Giffords from office by joining him to shoot a fully loaded M-16 rifle. Kelly is a former Marine who served in Iraq and was pictured on his website in military gear holding his automatic weapon and promoting the event.

"I don't see the connection," between the fundraisers featuring weapons and Saturday's shooting, said John Ellinwood, Kelly's spokesman.

    Wow, just wow.

  6. There was a post that said one of the shooters YouTube videos had a speech that was taken verbatim from a speech Glenn Beck made. I can't confirm as I never listen to Beck, but if true...
And NBC mentioned he might have ties to an extreme right wing group. They didnt say anymore. So,If I just slandered any fanatical right wing groups-sooooorry.
