What Else Is There To Say? Yeah, God it is Boring Here. SF Media: ZZZZZZZ

Didn't post Monday.

What's going on? Nothing. Sort of like our illustrious market here where we've been kidnapped by a bunch of unknowns and posers.

A guy on local sports radio who has been on cruise control for some time now repeating the same-old tired shtick day after day? Unlistenable.

The newstalk station that although is still relevant, is slowly in the process of making its few loyal listeners tune away. (Nice programming bit: stick 27 minutes of spots and news into the only decent show on the schedule--that'll work. And those new jingles? Oh, hold me back! I'm sure the Live 105 demo is just around the corner)

Local TV: KTVU and KGO-TV, and a smidgen of NBC Bay Area still merit thought. The rest? zzzz.

Dana King, Tom Sinkovitz, Dan Ashley, Frank Somerville, Rita Williams, Wayne Freedman, Dan Noyes and Mark Ibanez.

Ronn Owens. Michael Krasny. They still count. Barely.

That's our market. The rest?

Think of a Walmart in suburban Bakersfield where the trash bin has to be emptied in the wee hours.

SF media? You officially suck.

Wake me when there's something new to report.

  2. You gotta put Pam Moore in if not for putting up with KRON... way classier than the "... WalMart in Bakersfield..." nod

  3. I must agree with you completely. Last night I almost fell off my bed when I heard KGO's John Rothman talking about Dr. Laura's move to satellite radio. WTF!?! John, you are KGO's resident historian. Surely you can find better topics! As to that tired ass sports talk show host from 9 to noon he is tough to listen to man. Who likes him? Why!?!

  5. When said "Lord, when will you let me retire?" Shtiker shtarts his show with 25 minutes-give or take- talk about Orlando basketball on a day after a big 49er win..you got a point Rich.

  6. And the man who changed KNBR from the thinking mans station it used be,to what you hear now-Tony Salvatore was on Comcast today-the man just reeked smarmy full of himself country club Republican. "I love myself soo very much" shined like a neon sign over his head.
The architect of Fitz and Brooks has no guilt of his legacy. I think he is also known to have said when he retired "Mission accomplished"..
