Glenn Dickey has been covering Bay Area sports, including your beloved SF Giants, for over 40 years and has seen his share of Major League Baseball.
I told him that this 2010 Fall Classic was a "coin flip" series because truly, no one, even the so-called "experts", haven't a clue who will win.
He agreed.
"What I'm telling people is that I didn't expect either of these teams to be here so how the hell do I know who's going to win it?"
Precisely.
That sounds deep grasshopperdickey. But,its really a cop out. Because this isnt March,or even last week. WE HAVE SEEN these teams at their peak. And its Cliff Lee,average pitchers, and hot hitting vs Awesome and firing on all cylinders Giant pitching, and timely clutch hitting offense. And I would take that since its a fact hot pitching will shut down hot hitting in baseball. Go Giants!
ReplyDeleteWhat did I tell you? Lincecum left giving up only two runs, and if that wasnt timely hitting by the Giants I don't what it was. Sure, later the game went wild..but those first innings were classic Giant methodology..And you can send my check to...
