Fox Sports elated over Giants loss, (Gees, I wonder why)

Fox Sports is lucky enough to have today's Giants-Padres encounter, all the more happy if the home team wins and celebrates gleefully.

A little more than a week ago, Fox execs had the game moved from a normal 6 PM start time, (ironically, to televise in Bay Area since Fox owns the 1-6 TV window) to 1: 10 as part of its Saturday package. Little did they know that the game could be an elimination encounter.

So if the Giants win today, Fox will have just as much fun as the Giants. Comcast will be left out in the forest.

KNBR has a rarity: All three of the Giants woodys...Jon Miller, Mike Krukow, and Duane Kuiper will be in the radio booth for today's probable showdown game.

Don't get too excited yet: That Zito fellow is on the mound.

**An aside: The local non-sports media boosterism is just nauseating. I've never seen nor heard so many blatantly bandwagon types go certifiably gaga.

As if #32-market reporters, weather guessers, and the like have a bond with the SF Giants--you'd think these morons would have the savvy to just shut up every now and then.

  1. The best part of this is we can enjoy the game without having to listen to Krukow make a comment on every pitch thrown.

  2. All year Radnich said he doesn't root for laundry-what he also said defending about Ronnie Lot's traitor pep talk to the Saints before they beat his old team the 49ers. And like years past when the Dodgers were in the playoffs and he said he rooted for THEM!
Now,out of the blue he's got team loyalty? You mean like Scrooge,Radnich was visited by the team spirits?? and has now reformed? Eh,too good to be true.

  3. The first poster: Thank you!!!! I thought I was the only one who noticed that. When the Giants get in this position of reaching the playoffs, Krukow comments on just about every pitch. Can't listen to him; Kuiper is fine.
