CNN's 'other King headed for SF?

Looks as if CNN's 'other King, the political correspondent based in Washington, John King, day's are numbered at the Atlanta cabler.

The result? Don't be surprised if the boyish-looking King heads to SF. Yes, SF, but where?

First, a little background.

King is everything politics, loves it, eats it and is part of the Washington press political elite. Keep in mind that he was a part of the White House Press corp, covering both the Bush43 and Obama adm, before settling on his own CNN show.

When on vacation, King has known to visit SF quite a bit. I once bumped into him at Tadich Grill and we talked quite a bit about Washington and a few other items. King, by the way, is married to fellow CNN reporter, Dana Bash.

King professed a love for the city and said that he could see himself working here on a regular basis. Whether or not that means landing a gig remains to be seen, but one significant player, (a big station here) has already contacted King's agent.

King makes a shade over $1 million, but speaking engagements bring that number up considerably.

We'll monitor the movings and see if "the player" makes the initial "first move."

  1. Didn't John King once work at KTVU as a reporter before he went on with his career at CNN?
