KGO's Owens top notch coverage on McChrystal story

KGO's Ronn Owens was at his best giving Bay Area listeners the most adept, inside, comprehensive coverage of the Gen. McChrystal  story, (McChrystal  subsequently stepped down--no surprise)

Owens is top notch when it comes to politics and Washington and hour one Wed. was no different. It was vintage Ronn and KGO's captain at the top of his game, (we'd love to see some of this at KGO's All-Star debate)

Owens started off with a quick analysis with ABC WH correspondent Ann Compton, who provided the scene-setter from Washington and then proceeded to take calls, (most, pretty much first-rate) from listeners.

Owens then broke to the President's short Rose Garden speech and called Mr. Obama's address a "homerun.."

"He, (Obama) just came off as a guy in charge," noted Owens, who has been hard on Obama lately.

Whether you agree or disagree is not the point here.

Owens and KGO's coverage was spot on.
