Speaking of the Mets, how about this? Mets broadcaster Gary Cohen’s comments during the Cubs vs. Mets game where he slammed Cubs star Matt Shaw for taking time away from the field to attend a memorial for his friend Charlie Kirk, an invitation that reportedly came directly from Charlie’s widow Erika. Shaw was granted team permission to leave and attend the service.
Charlie was an avid Cubs fan. He thought it was "weird" because they are in a pennant race. Talk about dumbass! Yeah, one of your tribe.
I think Cohen could've just kept quiet. Taking a personal day during the season was once frowned upon and even stepping away for the birth of a baby was not common. Things have changed. Being a rookie probably puts Shaw under a microscope though.
@ 12:29 Couldn't agree with you more, God, Family and conscience come before your job, Gary Cohen wouldn't understand humanity, "Jack Ass" would accurately describe him
12:41. Without some star F.A. Pitching it will be wash, rinse, repeat 2025. Roupp was the only one that showed some serious talent. The bizarre injuries were unfortunate. Whisenhunt, Seymour, Birdsong and don't even get me started on WuTang Clan. Last outing he made Mitch Williams look like Nolan Ryan! Luchessi's been good. Should interesting with the ABS being implemented. I like it! No more "umpires strike zones". Call the damn traditional strike zone.
It's always fun to.listen to KNBR after the Giants have been eliminated to see what the lunatic fringe has to say. But God that afternoon show. You can't understand Copes and the sidekick.is a dummy. Where do they find these people?
Frank Paul was seen over at Momo's minutes after signing off hitting on 20 and 30 something year old women asking them to buy him drinks and take pictures. It was pretty sad. Why do KNBR and the Giants keep this clown on the air? Walking SH lawsuit. As Pete Franklin used to say, FLUSH THIS BUM!
It was a painfully awful post game show. No callers except some dumb kid and a guy who had his radio on while he was talking. FP spent the last two terrible shows talking about non-negotiables. He basically quit on the last two days saying he wanted to get home on his scooter five minutes after he started. Fire this guy for the third time as fast as you can.

DeleteAnd there was plenty to talk about. The Giants had blown an 8-3 lead to be officially eliminated from the post season.
