    1. If you went back to the old talent of 10+ years ag0 and formatting you’d still have a revenue problem. I love listening to Rich’s view of the current radio/tv talent, but I tune him out on the “good old days” BS. Time marches on.

  2. I wonder if the new hosts will also leave comments on your site about dung and smelly butts, similar to what some current knbr hosts do?

    1. I’m really upset that people are accusing me of working for KNBR. I have absolutely nothing to do with KNBR whatsoever. Nothing. Just for that I’m going to stop leaving comments about dung and smelly butts for a while.

  3. The KNBR clown car, driven by Cumulus aka Wile E. Coyote towards the cliff was inevitable. Only thing left...is to wait for the puff of dirt on impact when this cartoon ends.

  4. Is Audacy also throwing in the towel on local programming?

  5. The 49ers may now be able to bring in people with true 49er ties to broadcast their games on the radio (different station). Donte Whitner can do the color. Ray from Sunnyvale

  7. Richie Rich! You are correct. Radio is done like dinner. IHeart just destroyed the management of many markets this past two weeks. Talent sin many markets as well. Cumulus is also going through ANOTHER cost cutting. Believe me when I say that in every company boardroom, the sales manager and market manager are going over the $$$$ brought in from the election and in case of KNBR, the answer is close to zero, and the conversation is a simple..."We're F$$ked". The owners have run these radio stations into the ground by cutting talent over and over and when a radio company/station relies on an event like an election, it's truly sad for the industry. But it says where the industry really is. Richie Rich......you will have plenty of content in the Bay Area media scene going forward. Trust me.

  8. I am THANKFUL that I will no longer hear Brian Murphy, Tom Tolbert, John Lund, Adam Copeland, and Greg Papa. They ruined KNBR, with their stupid banter, absurd talking points - Tolbert talking about bowel movements about 5pm. Fantasy football bullshit. Murphy’s little league/high school greatest hit replay.
Dog Shit Radio through and through. Let the door hit em in the ass as they seek actual work. Sayonara asshats

  9. Lieberman’s “insider information” is generally wrong. There’s no reason to believe this unverified claim.

  10. Tolbert is out after 28 years.

  11. Tolbert out. Lund out. Great news. Hopefully Papa is next. KNBR is dead, long live KNBR. Rich, you are a psychic.

  12. Tolbert and Lund both let go today. Murphy must have pictures of someone.

  13. As long as I can still hear at KNBR from JR at Wager Pro, David Hollander at Liberty Group, and Greg O’Donnel at O’Donnell Financial Group on how to turn my money over to them to get rich, I am good! Oh, I left out Tolbert’s favorite for picks “Dr.” Bob.
I wonder if the 49ers and Giants pay for the pre and post games shows. Maybe just for the broadcasters they pay I suppose. Are these situations common in other markets where the station is national syndication except for certain local teams’ game broadcasts?

  14. Tolbert and Lund canned. Finally.

  15. Will I still get my fill of Steve Moskowitz pedaling rescue from tax issues as well as Dolan Law, the best defense attorneys they hope we will never need? Not to mention Alex Kugelman for tax and crypto too!

  16. What is KNBR’s Harmony, the sex robot, prediction on all this? Will she be laid off too? I think Copes will take her home to the chagrin of his wife.

  17. Tolbert and Lund were let go today

  18. You haven't mentioned that the super-excellent KMKY 1310 AM has returned to the air! Hooray for Bollywood!

  19. I've already flushed KGO, KCBS, KNBR, KSFO, you name it down the toilet, what's the point of listening to basically crap?

  20. It seems that Cumulus, by wiping out nearly all the non-live-sports local origination from its' cluster, is positioning itself to eventually eliminate the SF cluster as a physical presence. Why pay for expensive SF real estate if we could just run it all out of LA or Sacto? You're right; that didn't used to be legal, but with the elimination of the Local Studios Rule a couple years ago (thanks, FCC) there are no guardrails. Watch and see.

    1. @9:15- Local studios rule?... The pandemic probably accelerated that when hosts started doing their shows from home because of it... Don't a lot of national shows do their shows from home? They say they're at a studio when they're actually at home in another city/region

  21. Bay Area media sucks so bad it's worth devoting one's entire life to posting a blog about it.

  22. The Lamont & Tonelli Morning Zoo, relevant as it was, is done. Get over it.
