  1. Rich, I agree 1000% with you.

Maybe someone has some old tapes of KCBS in its hay day that the new PD can listen to. KCBS has to get better!!!

    The Bay Area deserves BETTER!

  2. Once again. Terrestrial radio.i.e, legacy media is dead. It committed suicide. Nobody, listens, nobody watches. The election was the proof in the pudding. Everyone gravitates to social media to get their information "unadulterated". Stick a fork in it! It's dead Jim!

  3. I heard that Malibu fire segment. It felt rushed, so they probably should've given the segment a larger time window or simply moved it to another time slot.

  4. It appears that Matt Pittman has dissappeared and there is only one sports person. Is that correct?

  5. Shane Guinness did taped repeated sports overnight.
After the 5:00AM CBS World News this morning about 10 minutes of dead air...way to start the day KCBS.

  8. SO glad Matt "my husband" pittman is gone, didnt need to know about his sex life.
Note to P.D.- old formula of 'time n temp' is valuable/interesting to most of US, temps across bay region tossed in randomly- particularly during cold/hot spells is interesting.
Cannot count on consistent content on 8's anymore, let alone actually ON the 8's.
Time n temp was a staple for decades for a reason, 3-5 mins means tge diff between us maybe being late for work, school, appts, etc.
Also, new P.D, i dont need thurston scolding me during HER opinionated news- she could listen to Holly or even Nikki for 30 hours for re-education on proper news delivery.
Lastly, Holly is our last vestige of quality radio at 740. Her too-spare humor, on-point intervu questions, and ALL of the interesting facts she delivers from the field happify and satisfy me dearly.
    Long live Holly Quan!

  9. KCBS needs to bring back Keith Menconi "In Depth" because the latest version sucks.

  11. Agree about commercials, sort of agree about content. There’s some good reporters (Bigler, DeWalt, Welch) and I doubt they choose the stories now I don’t fault them for making what they can out of crap.
