Tuesday Media Rundown

  1. This comment will probably never see the light of day, but here goes. In the interest of accuracy, George Soros is not making any decisions for Audacy yet and his investment firm does not own 40% of the company as of this date. The bankruptcy has not been finalized and in fact, the completion has been pushed back a bit. The entire transaction must also be approved by the FCC because it does represent an ownership change. Rep. Chip Roy (R-Tex) is already making noise about the commission needing to take a very close look at the transaction because of the Soros involvement. So more delays are possible. I know the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is a highly emotional topic, but that is not an excuse for inaccurate reporting and opinions. Soros and company are currently not calling any of the shots when it come Audacy coverage at home or abroad. To do so could jeopardize his goal of being a majority owner.
