415 Media Extra: Ralph Barbieri Novato Estate For Sale

If you have a spare $1.7M on hand and enjoy living life at the home of the late RAZOR, then consider this home in Novato.

It's the home of the late Ralph Barbieri, the "Razor: who established himself as one of the most popular talk show hosts in Bay Area radio history. Barbieri died over a year ago. He spent nearly 30 years at the Sports Leader.

My North Bay real estate spy tells me the home on 14 Oak Forest has all the elements fit for a king, or a Razor's king at least.

Here's the formal listing.

  1. all that splendour for only $1.7M? My 3 bedroom hovel in San Jose is worth $1.8M. Guess it's location.

    1. For sure! Prices increase about $100K per mile heading south toward San Francisco.

If you really want to feel bad about home prices here check out this one in New Hampshire:

  2. Not far from me. Near the Pacheco Valle reserve. Very secluded. It will go higher than asking for sure.

  3. I always just assumed that Ralph had left the house to his cat.

  4. Given the woodland location and new fire risk designations, I wonder about the insurability of this property. Beautiful plot, but IMO the structure is dated. Fairly priced, nonetheless, for Novato.

To paraphrase the old "The Razor and Mr T. Show" lead in: you have....a pretty setting, annnd you have....a nice nearby town, annnd you have....peace and quite, annnd you have....the presence of Ralpharoo's ghost. Cue "Ramblin' Man."
