HE HASN'T MADE A MOVE--YET. They keep waiting. The rank and file at KGO (ABC7) is hoping GM/VP, Tom Cibrowski once and for all shows the door to ND, Tracey Watkowski-Silva-. Waiting is the operative word.
Embattled Silva has been rumored for months to be a goner but she keeps on keepin' on mostly because she knows people in high places in the ABC network hierarchy.
Meanwhile, Cibrowski hasn't done anything of significance taking a wait-and-see attitude and leaving things alone. It's a safe method and while this activity isn't working for the moment, if he pulls it off, I'll bet Trixie's status is next on the front burner.
Circle7 was just OK in the Sweeps but they did better than some in November.
Yes, Trixie is still doing her stuff at 900 Front. Which may be good enough to keep the bodies buried.
Don't expect Cibrowski to do anything other than he's done his entire career which is kiss the ass of ABC brass. He is not an original thinker. He is King of the status quo. Picking up his check and gaining more weight eating steak at 3 hour lunches. That's all you're gonna get from him. I mean it would be fun to see him do something dramatic like poach top talent from the #1 station in town and make a big move to win but nah, he doesn't have the skill or the cojones to pull that off. Trixie is a shark and a scrapper. I say she outlives him. Sorry kids but I call em like I see em. Cibrowski is just marking time til retirement.

ReplyDeleteCibrowski looks like a man with no balls and coincidentally Democrats also have no balls. And that is what happens when you have no balls.
Trixie & Cibski may know ABC brass, but don't Ashley & Finney do, too? And what does the Disney board think of the dysfunction at SF Circle7? I'd like to see the full Disney/ABC board review the performances of both Cibrowski & Trixie, and determine if more respectful middle managers might raise KGO-TV's profile again.
