  1. Damon doesn’t give a shit as long as he can sell those nasty sandwiches. The Damon Bruce should be shit on a shingle.

    1. Ike's sandwiches are pretty tasty, even though I normally get the tuna sandwiches from there.

Ike's is a sponsor. Plus Damon and Ike have been friends going back to when Damon was on KNBR

  2. This would be interesting, but I don't think this will happen. One, I doubt the Dirty Work show gets replaced. It's still a new show as they started back in December. They keep things light and still have a quality sports program. Copes and Derek Papa are part of the future on KNBR, and I doubt KNBR will give up on its new Afternoon Drive show this soon. They owe it to Copes and Derek to see where this show can go over a longer period of time.

    1. KNBR has a future? Maybe as a mexican music station

    2. @2:58- Yes, of course they do... I think as long as they carry Giants and Niners games, KNBR should be fine

  3. Two, Shasky has a good thing on 95.7. Yeah, Shasky doesn't have the same chemistry with Spadoni that he had with Bonta, but just like with Dirty Work, may have to give this show more time before decisions are made or guys end up leaving for other timeslots or other stations.

Also, I'm not sure if Shasky would fit on KNBR, even though he would be a great addition for them. Yes, he called into the station in the past as a caller, but KNBR has a different audience than 95.7 as Rich alluded to, and not sure he would be as popular with KNBR listeners as he is with 95.7 listeners.

Regarding Damon, I think Damon may be done with radio. Yeah, sometimes when you watch him on Youtube, you can tell he still misses radio and the prestige that came with it, but at the same time, he seems happy that he doesn't have to deal with the constraints of terrestrial radio anymore and can kind of do his own thing on his own time regarding Youtube. He does belong on radio though, but not sure if he burned bridges on both stations with his comments on Youtube regarding KNBR and 95.7 and radio in general, after Paulie Mac and FP were let go from KNBR I think in early 2024. I hope he didn't kill any opportunity to come back to either station if the opportunity presented itself.

  4. With all of that being said. I would do the Damon and Shasky pairing, but on 95.7. I thought about this after I watched this video earlier. 95.7 can write a wrong bringing Damon back. Not sure Damon's ego will allow him to come back to 95.7 and radio in general after him getting let go from 95.7 back in 2023. You can tell he's still bitter about it, which I don't blame him, but I think if 95.7/Audacy made him a good offer to come back, maybe he comes back?

I would pair up Damon and Shasky on 95.7's afternoon drive show. Shasky has shown he can handle morning drive, and he was a fixture when he was on 95.7's weeknight show they used to have, so afternoon drive would be a new challenge for him, but I think Shasky could do that timeslot. Damon showed he can handle afternoon drive as well, and I think this show would be a great show to have on after Steiny and Guru.

I would then move Willard and Dibs to morning drive. I still feel like their show was better when they were on from 9-Noon. Even though 6-9 AM or 6-10 AM is a different animal that middays (10-2/Noon-3), Willard and Dibs show seems like it's better suited as a morning show. In this scenario, Dibs would be back on morning drive which is where he thrived for years on Joe, Lo, and Dibs, the Rise Guys before that, and of course when he worked on KNBR on Murph and Mac and Gary Radnich's show. Willard has some experience working in morning drive as he used to be on Tony Bruno's Fox Sports Radio morning drive show years ago. I would maybe either have Spadoni be a part of this show or Steiny and Guru's show as a 3rd wheel/host

  5. Damon can’t just stick to sports has to always work in some liberal BS into his show. Got a big head and assumed he could rant because of good ratings at the time. Another guy with white guilt. Had a good show but couldn’t just stick with sports.

    1. Yeah, sometimes Damon's political stuff can be cringe even though it's refreshing to hear someone who can be vocal politically without repercussions. I hope you don't have a problem with him because he's liberal. If Damon was pro-Trump, would you be cool with him?

White guilt? Not sure about that. What makes you say that?

  6. When Damon Bruce first showed up in the Bay area, he acted as if he was the , "all knowing oracle " of bay srea sports. He even had the audacity to write a book about bay area sports a couple of years after he arrived here.

    1. He’s annoying that’s for sure. I remember when the Warriors had a playoff series vs Dallas about 10 years ago and he mocked their fans because the tickets on StubHub were $30-50 range. I wish the Warriors playoff tickets were in that price range.

Not a fan of Damon Bruce.

  7. I remember Gianna Franco was his sidekick on 95.7. She’s disappeared from KPIX. What happened to her?

    1. @10:06- Low grade talent hosts?!?... No way

Damon is an accomplished sports talk radio host here in the Bay Area. Yeah, he's not on radio right now, but people still value his opinion and his takes on Bay Area sports.

Shasky is on one of the top sports talk radio shows here in the Bay Area. Yeah, the Morning Roast is not quite what it was when Bonta was there, but Shasky is a sports fan at heart, but can still objectively give you his takes on Bay Area sports and sports in general. He also does a good job of talking about the business angle and how certain contracts can affect teams.

But yes, Damon and Shasky are great. You make them sound like they're bums. What are you talking about?

  9. Damon burned his bridges at both sf stations so highly doubt a return and just like John Lund not employed at radio station anywhere.
So nobody wants to hire them?
