Guy said "seventh flag on the play" Tim waited a few then said "it's the seventh flag on the Saints so far this game, not the seventh flag on the play" Sheesh
Ramirez was terrible. He pronounces every sentence like a statement so there is no flow in his delivery or give and take with Time Ryan. Every sentence sounds like he's starting a whole new conversation. He also messes up the jargon and makes it sound like he's never watched football. You don't pass "up the middle," you throw it over the middle. There isn't 9 minutes "on the game" there is "9 minutes left in the game." The 35 yard line isn't "deep in Saints territory." There were examples of this nearly every other play. His worst was just before halftime where he described Mac Jones scrambling to his right, then yelling "pass", then Jones running with the ball. Did Jones fake a pass and keep it? Rameriz never explained.
Back in the day, viewers were encouraged to turn down the TV sound and put the radio sound on. These were the days of Lon Simmons, Bill King and even Joe "What a Bonanza" Starkey. Today, it's shut the radio off and turn up the TV sound. If you have satellite radio and can listen to the home and away NFL game broadcasts, you can get lucky and listen to the 49ers opponent announcers. That would be an improvement!
Wow 49ers stoop to such low quality and inexperienced pxp for a team of the stature of 49ers Has any of the other 3 besides Haberman ever done pxp in any sports. The 49ers get whatever they paid for this bunch.
The interesting choice and listen will be the young announcer Jack Smith who won some award announcer of year and USC graduate. Did pxp college football on college station but this is the big time NFL. Hope does well.
Surprised that Bob Fitgerald was not chosen . Ok you kool aid put aside the usual negative comments but does a quality job pxp on radio. Maybe Rich might agree or not. He could have the early games before NBA started. and does radio pxp for them.pre season?
HORRIFIC

Lieberman hates Greg Papa and hates his replacement. He hates everyone.
ReplyDeleteDoes he hate himself?
DeletePapa is less than average and not the brightest guy. He watches CNN and thinks it's real news and repeats it on KNBR.
ReplyDeleteAt least he’s not on Fox.
DeleteNo surprise. What does Rich like?
ReplyDeleteCarlos Ramirez is the absolute suck, the worst scourge ever set upon the Bay Area.
ReplyDeleteBring back Lon Simmons
