They show make a late night adult version of this show taLking more open topic stuff and personal stuff as well from female version to male version than the current version, total junk and waste of time. Whoever came up with this idea to go back to square one with better training wasting time filling up the spot.
Omg I’m so fired up about this topic. That show is so freakin stupid. But I have lots of thoughts about what they could do to make it really interesting. First here’s what’s wrong. I don’t care if like one ply or two ply toilet paper. That was the one show I watched and I was so disappointed that I never watched again. All of them were “on” trying to be clever with the fake smiles and fake laughter. Second here’s what they could do to make it interesting. If it was Frank mark and Julie you could ask Frank about having a black daughter. Mark about having a severely autistic son. And Julie about having a kid playing a n the nfl. You could also ask them about what it’s like having people recognize you. What do they say. What do they ask. And do they ever go too far. You could also ask about the stories they cover. As I recall Frank watched two executions. What was it like and why did he want to do it. You could also ask the others about the toughest stories hey covered. How did that affect them. Do they take it home with them and talk to their wives or husbands. Tell them to stop trying to be clever and funny. Just show us your real side. THATS how to endear them to the public
This is KTVU 's attempt at a "Jerry Springer" style show. Only is is fake, with DEI hosts that have no subject matter. Or don't know what they are talking about
Anchors hate it. FOX does this all over the country (WTTG in Washington first). Anchors are exhausted from having to be on at 4/5/6/7/9/10/11 and so on. One joked to me that she really needs the A.I. anchor clones to hurry up and get online.
Unlike KTVU, FOX 5 in DC version of Like It or Not is smart enough to put their attractive female anchors/reporters on the panel to attempt reel in viewership. Sal and three random brothas from Lake Merritt to come ok the show.
To call it 'horrid' is being kind. Not only is it the most pathetic show on television, they've gotten to the point where they don't even bother to put their own employees on the panel. Now, most of their panelists are random people from Oakland (rappers and artists primarily). I guess that's better than Wong, Mibach, Roberto Gonzales, or Sal Castaneda.
KTVU's "Take 2" show that streams following the 7:30 PM weeknight news is not much better. Last week Heather Holmes blurted out that a competitive swimmer swam between the Farallon Islands and San Francisco in just 14 minutes (utterly impossible as the swim speed would have been some 128 mph) then afterward corrected to 14 hours and admitted life was difficult without a teleprompter.
This show is a total waste of airtime. Wonder how the on-air staff really feel about it. Have a feeling Fox said you all appear on the show or there's the door. With airtime so valuable, you would think they would feature a program with more substance or educational value.
How on earth does Sal keeps his job? He' down right creepy around young woman, fucks up the traffic report all the time and looks like a deer in bright headlights lights most of the time.
In the Cantina bar Sal put me a friend down big time, their were only two seats at the bar, he reluctantly let us have them. Before long he lashed out at us, "go in the other room where the old people sit," said Sal. An asshole.
Like it or Not, absolutely, positively sucks.
ReplyDeleteThen why do you watch?

ReplyDeleteI like the panel show idea. It would be much better than the cringe-worthy format now.

Somebody's actually watching this crap? Seriously????
ReplyDeleteI'll bet those people at KTVU HATE being on that show. Their boss probably tells them to do it.

DeleteThis is where KGO got the idea for their 4 @ Four segment

ReplyDeleteThe other night while flipping channels I noticed it was “THE GAAAAASSSS” hosting with three random Oakland rappers on the panel.
DeleteIt’s random anchors but mostly blacks from da hood
DeleteIt’s nothing but random brothas from east Oakland and DA HOOD
DeleteMy favorite moment was when Sal asked a panel of 3 black guys if they liked watermelon. Unfrickenbelievable!
ReplyDeletePretty much every episode of Like it or Not is a ktvu anchor or reporter hosting the show with three random black men from Oakland.

DeleteFour at Four on ch. 7 is much better, more topical. Sal is the ugliest personality on not ch. 2, but on TV period. I turn the channel.
ReplyDeleteI’m guessing Betty Yu is regretting her move to KTVU. It’s like getting traded to the Colorado Rockies.
