Rich, check out KGO's newest weekend anchor, Frances Wang. She speaks/reads well and has good energy. She seems like a star in the making. If I was to nitpick, I'd say she uses too many hand gestures, but that's me desperately trying to find a flaw. Really, she's great and may be the best weekend anchor I've seen at KGO.
I'm a YUGE fan of "Immersive Weather" on KPIX, where the meteorologists tiptoe all over giant graphics of the Bay Area and dote on how close we are to the "average" temperatures of the season. Somehow they find a way to make the most mundane forecast exciting!
When they give a more precise forecast they inexplicably do it in front of oversized terrariums that display the high temperatures to expect. I just can't believe that this dynamic and compelling approach to weather hasn't caught on coast to coast! (It hasn't, has it?)
Would love to see jammin' Roberta Gonzales dance in high heels all over a map of the peninsula during her weather shot but alas, wrong channel.

DeleteShe's a pro. Anchored/Reporter at ABC10 Sacramento then Anchored at KFOR Miami, moved to NBC Philadelphia to be Anchor there. Now here at ABC7.
