Why Donald Trump Didn't Do Ronn Owens KGO Radio Show Friday But Did 'Savage Nation'; Inside Story

Donald Trump was supposed to be on the phone with Ronn Owens today (Friday) --supposed to.

Owens and his producer had been plugging the short 10-minute phone interview since Wednesday --only one problem.

Trump pulled out of the interview early today --word got back to the Trump campaign that KGO's Owens had been bad-mouthing him (Trump) since early in the primary campaign. In fact, Owens belittled the validity of Trump even after Trump had secured major victories.

When Owens got Trump confirmed for his show, his description of The Donald suddenly changed. Insults became admiration. Rip jobs disappeared --gees, I wonder why? Owens speculated on his show that maybe "Michael Savage called Trump and told him not to do Ronn's show."

Uh, Ronn, it wasn't that; it was your lengthy RIP jobs and insults --he doesn't like double-takers. Pure and simple.

Savage had nothing to do with it.

Trust me.

By the way, Trump did do the Michael Savage Show at 1: 35 PM PT.

  1. It was beautiful to see all of those unemployed Californians protesting him in Burlingame because they had nothing better to do and wanted to see themselves on television. I hear Wal-Mart is hiring if you want a job (which they don't).

    3. Not sure who's dumber, Trump or his supporters. Get used to eight years of Hillary, silly Cons.

At least Trump supporters know what they'd get. You, on the other hand, obviously have a lot to learn.

    1. I was on the fence before, but when thugs try to prevent free speech and legal assembly, I draw the line. Trump!

  3. In a State with 38 million plus people, the turn out was embarrassing low, I was quite surprised! Trump is going to win California!

I will say it again. Trump is travelling on the road which Mike Savage started to pave in 1994. The last exit on the "Savage Interstate," is the off ramp which leads to the White House.

The "Master Communicator" has educated America. The American people have been sitting in the Savage classroom for 22 years, and on January 20th, 2017, we will all graduate!!

As I have said before, this Vietnam Veteran salutes "very few" people, I salute Mike Savage!

    1. You're touting that Trump will win the primary or the general? If you are suggesting the general we should exchange emails because I'd like to win your entire life savings, double it, and then buy myself a pizza.

It's easy...Dr Savage had more credibility & clout than Lowenstein & will always come out ahead. Call it Battle Of The Jews.

  5. Ronn Owens the con-artist from KGO.
A smooth talker all his life. A wimp who is too timid to take on the left wing nuts in the Bay Area.
Ronn? what's wrong? did you get snubbed today?

    1. The only wingnuts are you guys on the right. Trump, Cruz, Fiorina? Can't get nuttier than that. Your hero Ronald Reagan is rolling in his grave on what happened to a once decent party. Hijacked by the kooks.

  7. Why even argue about this when Trump is a the best comedy around?

  8. Lowenstein hurt his shoulder recently. Probably from trying to grab that ring to save his ass. Loser. No credibility. Good work, jackass.

  10. Well lets face it...... Trump guesting on the Savage nation was heard by many more listener's. Ronnn should just go back to what he does best, being a left wingnut apologist who for reasons as of yet not answered has found sanctuary.

    1. I'm a Dem and I find it disgusting and disrespectful that people were waving Mexican flags. I actually only saw a couple Mexican flags in Burlingame and one guy was wrapped in one. L.A. had far more. Don't forget the the Republicans ignored all the illegal immigration for years because of the cheap labor. When Bush was elected, I was hoping he would do something about the huge amounts of Mexicans invading the country, but he did nothing. Obama has deported far more.

  12. Donald Trump does what he wants. If he didn't appear on Ronn's show, it was not because Savage or anyone else told him not to do it.

  13. After seeing the American flag being stomped and burned by illegals waving Mexican flags in the United States, I see what Trump is saying is right on. America First, I am voting for TRUMP. It's time we all get back on track.

  15. On Thursday Ronn Owens bad mouthed Michael Savage for obtaining an exclusive interview with Donald Trump.

Say Ronn, what's it like being filled with envy?

  16. That sleazy old tired man, Owennnns, has been trashing Trump for ages. He is so jealous of Trump & his riches & his beautiful wife & great kids. I never listen to him anymore after that phony fiasco where they tried to drop him off on KSFO, ha ha and then cut an hour from his KGO show & he still stays. He is literally NEVER EMBARRASSED!

  17. Ronn got his bum burned good! Shooting his mouth off about Trump what did he expect? Time to Retire Ronn, your base is shrinking faster then water on a hot day!

  18. Why are all 25 comments against Ronn? I doubt this will be posted since I already wrote a response that somewhat defended Ronn. Seems like Rich does not like ANY dissenting voices in his blog, especially when it comes to Ronn. Ronn has not trashed Trump he has analyzed him as a political candidate, when you run for President that is fair game. He did give Trump some kudos for his foreign policy speech, was it because by then he was suppose to interview him? Who knows if you listen to Ronn on a regular basis you would know that on the points Ronn agreed with Ronn, these are viewpoints Ronn has held for some time. Going after Ronn because he badmouths Trump is a little ridicules, how about Savage and many other right wing talk show host, who have spend a good part of the last 8 years bashing Obama, and in much more vicious ways. This is what talk show host's does.

    1. Finally, a voice of reason (as Ronn would say) on this topic. There is no valid criticism of Ronn in this situation. He had an opportunity to talk to Trump and went for it. Why not? Then Trump got wind that perhaps Ronn was not his biggest fan and switched to loud mouth obnoxious Savage. Those two deserve each other. Savage's fan base would likely be Trump supporters. Ronn's fan base is generally of the more normal sort. Rich despises Ronn and so do some of his posters as you can see. Despite all this negativity, there are many Ronn fans out there, just not here. I respect Ronn so occasionally I will get my comments posted when people are trashing him here.

  19. I posted the comments at 7:54, thank you for your voice of reason. Like you I rarely get my comments posted if I defend Ronn, no matter how lukewarm. Funny thing is I'm not even a huge Ronn fan, but I try to be fair. I do listen to Ronn most mornings, because there isn't much else on, I can't stand Rush, too predictable and bombastic, Gil on 910 is for the most part too boring. Ronn at least does a good interview, and when he still get interesting callers.
I think this blog would be more interesting if Rich allowed more diversity of opinions, even though he might personally disagree with the comments.
