  1. Thank you to all who have served, and to their families as well.

  2. In a world--and especially the USA--that gets so excited over the stupid doings of every half-baked "celebrity" on the planet, it's nice to take time out to think of the people who really made a difference and really matter. Thank you, Veterans.

  3. Since 1980 our veterans have bombed 14 Muslim nations. Our leadership has kept them busy. A recent study indicates 22 veterans commit suicide on a daily basis. Prayers to all veterans.

  5. About an hour ago I was driving north, out of The Chain of Lakes, on to 43rd Ave., in the Richmond district.

I saw two huge fighter jets (Blue Angels' planes, on steroids). I was quite shocked, at first. Then, I realized that they were flying over Fort Miley Veterans' Hospital ... and, may well have flown over a ceremony/ceremonies, in The Presidio.

    I got misty.

    Thank you, all who served!

  6. My Dad who died a few years back flew planes in the war in the Pacific Theatre. He got into some heavy combat but never talked about his near misses in the air in WWII. Good man and a member of that 'Greatest Generation' that is now almost all gone! We miss 'em and could use 'em today, couldn't we Rich?

    1. I'm sure your father was a fine man but could you please dispense with this sentimental crap about how we are lacking men like that today.

  7. Geez...what a cynical person YOU are! The guy just wanted to pay homage to his Dad and his Dad's generation. WTF is wrong with that? Sorry you have to be such a kill-joy!
