Murphy Interview with Jed York; Radnich Should Have Asked The Questions; Oh, Kate Scott And The Truth, Not The Bull

Hey you wussies? Don't lecture moi about the Brian Murphy "interview" with Jed York. YES, I listened to it. Anyone who thinks that interview "was pretty good" is tripe.

First of all, Murphy shouldn't have interviewed him in the first place. Hell, Murphy is writing a book about the 49ers and Levi's Stadium! He's practically in bed with the franchise and you're telling me it was a good interview! Tripe.

I rip Radnich every now and then but there's no denying he can do a decent interview --Radnich should have done the sit-down with York. It would have been twenty times better than Murphy who clearly has a conflict of interest, but you Bay Area people, some of you at least, are willing to drink the Kool-aid.

**Kate Scott is an imbecile, no-nothing twit who can barely handle traffic updates. She's there because KNBR needs a woman and bonus, Scott is gay.  Oh my, Gloria Steinem is yelling, "hallelujah!, give me a fucking break.

Scott is horrible. She says nothing, NOTHING, --did I say nothing? Her utterances are useless and she destroys any segment she's on. She's so bad even the Hammer had to tell her to shut up and back off--have you noticed her air time has been reduced? The morons who think Scott is good are horny white guys in Milpitas who don't watch Rachel Maddow so they gather around the Bleeder because, omg, she has such a great voice! And another thing: Scott provides cover for the Knibber male voices who defer to her because it's safe. They know she's insignificant and meaningless--how do I know? Because one of them told me and you're an extra moron yourself if you think otherwise. Extra horny too but so what if you roll that way I have no issues just quit the bullshit that Kate Scott is some kind of mini-Evita, Jesus Christ spare me all the bullshit because I just won't take it. Please, go listen to Murph and Mac.

Raw? Oh, poor baby. Sorry, wrong lounge. This is about the real deal. Those of you that want to think otherwise, are probably Cumulus salespeople who got fucked again and they stole your last commission check. Speaking of which, Scott would be a better salesperson at the cloud company and I hear they're still looking for AE's, have a nice day.

  1. Thank you for telling it like it is about kate scott! I don't always agree with you (but do a fair amount of the time), but on this one I am 100,000% in your camp! She RUINS segments/calls. KNBR should ditch her.

  2. Kate Scott had a Cal Bears promo a couple of weeks ago that perfectly encapsulated how she provides zero value. The promo went on and on about the Bears playing this upcoming weekend, Memorial Stadium, blah blah blah... and it never mentioned what time the game was.

On the rare occasions I still listen to KNBR, if she speaks more than one sentence, the channel gets flipped to satellite radio.

    1. Is that why KINBR has such high ratings? because supposedly no one listens because of Kate Scott? think about it.

    2. Take the women's lib out of your thought process and concentrate on the subject matter, how awful Kate is.

    3. 11:24...I don't listen to KNBR...I live in Sacramento, where the only two stations I can pick up on the radio are KGO and KQED. I do look at ratings, however and I have listened in the past to her commentary after Cal football(on KGO) , which I thought was pretty good. "Women's lib" is a phrase from a bygone era. As one of the first network (CBS) female sportscasters, I always have some interest in the careers of the current iteration of same. My question, which you didn't address had to do with KNBR's excellent ratings. Are you saying they would do better without her? or worse?

    4. Christine, my first response on this particular set of comments:

I listen to KNBR for Radnich/Kruger and Tolbert/Ratto/Woodson/etc. Radnich in the morning, and Tom in the afternoon are pretty good radio when I'm working from home or on the road. When Kate jumps in in the morning, I often tune off or change channel. She's that bad.

  3. Kate Scott is the Amy G. of radio. Another annoying clucking hen! If I want to hear women talking sports, I'll watch the WNBA. She adds NOTHING, says NOTHING, and the only reason she's on KNBR is that she's cheap, is a woman and is a lesbian. I know that sounds harsh, but there you have it. Thanks for taking off the gloves Rich! I love it when you "tell it like it is!" No one else in the bay area has the balls to do that!

  4. Okay Rich, tell us five questions that you would have asked Jed York...based on the comments about your interviews yesterday, you criticizing KNBR interviewers seems somewhat "pot/kettle-ish."

    Prove me wrong

    1. I don't have to "prove" anything but I'll answer your question.

      1. Jed, why were you so late in coming out? Follow up.

      2. The 49ers, unfortunately, have had a lot of off-field issues the past two years, in that light, Jed, can you understand some people who feel you and the org. have credibility issues here? Follow-up.

      3. In the court of law, yes, Jed, "due process" is the norm but THIS issue, (Ray McDonald), is part of the court of public opinion and lots of people, women, think you blew it. Respond please.

      4. Many people think it's crazy you let McDonald play against Dallas--particularly in light of last year when you and the 49ers org. were universally chastised for allowing Aldon Smith play after his DUI--given that, can you understand the outrage?

      5. Jed, if that were your daughter who called the police after an (alleged), assault, how would you feel if that guy were allowed to play?

    2. The hell with Radnich, Rich. You should have done the interview. GREAT questions!

    3. How different are Rich's questions than the ones asked by the KNBR guy?

  5. Rich is trying to cover up his own failure by criticizing Kate Scott. Lieberman knows he's got some Scott haters out there so when all else fails, that's what he comes back to. Criticize Kate Scott.

    1. Another form of the race card. If someone makes a negative comment about a sports star someone else does like, if that sports star happens to be race-x, then call the commenter bigotted against race-x. Argument "won", because no one can defend themselves against the race card, because those who play it don't listen to reason or life experiences.

If one is a kate scott supporter (her family must be very proud of her), and doesn't like a negative comment about her, then call the commenter a "hater". Works every time... if you're working with idiots that is...

  6. Wussies...and tripe! Funny. I'm neither one, Rich. Although, I might be looking at this differently i.e., I'm just looking at the radio output of Murph and cutting the guy a break; sure, Radnich would be a hell of a lot better...BTW, not calling you a 'hater', but, man, you sure are hateFULL

    1. Are, are you doing schtick again. It's ok to be the judge in the court of public opinion, as you are. However, you are way off base in your criticism of Kate Scott. We know how you feel and have accepted it. That doesn't change things, nor does public opinion much. There's much more going on that you don't discuss because KNBR is your one trick pony these days. Can we move on?

    2. Oh really? And you, moron, come HERE, --seems like the "one trick pony" is you --Back to internship, KNBR tool.

    3. I love how Rich ALWAYS reverts to calling posters," interns, employees, management," etc. when people disagree with him - real lazy. Don't want to put in the effort to argue or debate so I will just dismiss them as flunky. Same thing goes on the other side when posters assume Rich is jealous because he criticizes someone - just as lazy.

  7. Rich, I remember you having earlier posts about how Kate Scott was valued by KNBR management and was receiving special benefits like preferred parking and catered meals. But I've also noticed she has been talking less recently and so I was wondering if you've been told that management's opinion of her has changed or are the hosts just freezing her out. Personally, I feel like Kate's act reached its shelf life a long time ago.

    2. Did she lose her parking space with her name on it?

  8. I used to on occasion listen to KNBR. I stopped because I just couldn't stomach listening or wondering when she would "Chirp" in and say something off base.

  9. Is she still on KNTV? I've never seen her once..but not being a KNTV regular doesn't help. Also,I never hear any promotion by Raddy or even a mention of her weekend duties still in operation.
She's gone backwards after a strong second year. She's reduced to paying homage to Raddy,to also massaging his ego "Kate,am I a good person?" Radnich using total insecurity asked. "Yes,you're a good person" she answered. Wow,it was like a Stuart Little skit with Scott. "I'm learning from the best" she fawns..I never hear Kreuger say anything about he's learning his craft from Radish head. Of course Kate could be using sarcasm...but I doubt it.
Like Olberman said. Hammer is the Worst person of the Day....and his work and influence on Scott proves it.
What is so hard about finding a woman who is confident in her sports opinions? They all end up sounding like the wives of the sports anchor. Hell, its only sports. We all have a PhD in that.

  10. I hope this dude Murphy isn't planning on getting rich by writing a book about Levi's. As I see it the only folks who are gonna by the book would be the citizens of Santa Clara who voted Yes om Measure J.
