He's Got Bette Davis Eyes

Bob Costas Is Back: How Are His Eyes?

  1. Never has "Pink Eye" received more media attention. If only Bob Costas had Leprosy to go along with it, then we would really have a story to go along with "Curling"...

  2. I relaxed my NBC boycott when I heard the dwarf was out and caught a sled event and the super G. The Bode Miller interview was so NBCish. NBC sports really is pitiful.

Costas is supposed to be back so they'll play 2nd fiddle to the kron traffic channel if I can't find anything good to watch.

  3. Every network has their signature sport. For NBC it was the Baseball Game Of The Week. ABC dominated the Olympics. I really miss the late Jim McKay

    1. I agree with your assessments.

It was a golden age when McKay was in his prime. Ditto national baseball coverage, with Curt Gowdy, Tony Kubek, Dizzy Dean, Jim Simpson, and later Joe Garagiola and Vin Scully on the calls.

  5. This just seems like a cruel stick in the eye, no pun intended. Hardly blog worthy and a little late to be relevant. And I know this won't be posted but you get the gist. Petty.

  6. Viki Liviakis tonight on KRON : " Three men were erected,uh,arrested".. Hearing that from that fox? I was sooo titillated.

    1. If Viki really said that quote, it was a case of her making the involuntary freudian slip or perhaps stating a personal goal. Three men and a Lady. sounds like a movie, or a predicament.
