  1. Rich, now that you've exhausted all living, former Bay Area media people, what's left?

    1. A seance to bring back Al "Jazzbeaux" Collins. Rich: "Al, can you please call my show tomorrow to mujuberize my audience... (plays Count Basie's "Blues in Hoss' Flat" in the background)

  2. How does Rich get such exciting guests?

  3. I was happy to catch the interview with Ed Baxter. Miss him.

  4. How about interviewing Chris Craft? Only thing is, she talks so damn much, and interrupts so much, Rich would never get a word in edgewise. With her, there's very little dialog, mostly monolog.

  5. I don't miss Ed as much as I miss Jim and Ted!
    Ed was full of himself.

    1. Agree 100%. Jim and Ted were great.
Ed came off as a bore, liked to inject personal info into stories that had nothing to do with him. And up until his last year the lascivious tone when attempting humor was plain creepy. I think management, wife or a female co-worker set him straight because, like I said, was rare during his last year or so.
His radio HOF speech? Ridiculously long, rambling and had most in attendance asleep before he mercilessly finished. Yes full of himself.

  6. 10:45. You're mean!

I simply do not get why so much venom is expressed here. Maybe it's coming from co-workers? Because for me, the good ole listener without a lot of issues, I thought Ed was wonderful.

  7. It was fun to listen to Ed... too bad Rich kept interrupting him and talking over him towards the end of the segment... would have liked to have heard more...

  8. Rich, Dan makes some valid points.
You should have allowed Ed Baxter to continue or speak freely when the topic was hot (the Ronn Owens reaction to KGO firings)
Baxter was on a roll and you kept qualifing or justifying your question to him.
He was and could have expanded on his view point more easily.
Just some helpfull pointers for your next interview.
Other than that good interview with Ed Baxter.

    1. The sign of a good interviewer is knowing when to stay quiet and allow the guests to speak. Rich is still learning and for the sake of his show let's hope he figures it out soon, otherwise why have guests?
