Exclusive: KRON New GM in Place; Starts Monday

  1. Lieberman, sparing the lengthy didactic analysis...this sounds like a fool's errand? To the appeasement of King Perry of Nexstar, it will undoubtedly result in another hamstrung, sycophantic hire. The current climate, both internally and externally is not conducive to any form of credulous change. Expect more of the same.

  2. Darya will be sleeping with him by Tuesday

  3. And when does the new News Director arrive? Because if Aron Piro's flunky Josh Palefsky isn't out then nothing changes and the spiral to the drain continues. KRON can barely keep a staff. They all run away. I heard they're making interns sign contracts now lol.

    1. All true. KRON needs someone to come in with vision and bring leaders who can make it happen. Cause they ain't here. Scrub a dub dub. Get that house cleaned out.

    2. Agree. They also need a new Asst ND, Assignment Manager, HR Director and Engineering Department that actually gives a crap. Lotta people at KRON just marking time. Sad when you consider KRON used to be a powerhouse.

  4. Dear New GM:
Please get rid of the toxic Uncle Fester morning EP 🙏 Save is Obewankenobe!

    1. And get rid of Justine Waldman, an embarrassing excuse for an anchor more obsessed with playing wannabe social media influencer than doing her actual job. She’s a cringe factory, not a journalist. Her on-air presence feels more like a performance for followers than a commitment to news, and it's time for a change.

    2. @ 6:17 Ok, Darya

    3. Will, she has 123k followers on instagram. A quick scroll through her recent followers reveals a ton of fake looking profiles. She’s likely buying followers. Jessica Burch at PIX was doing the same thing a couple years ago and only stopped when Rich exposed what she was doing.

    4. @6:17 never mind being a journalist, she can't perform the very basics of her duties, which is to read. She stumbles on words constantly.

    5. 6:17, you nailed it. I couldn’t agree more.

    7. Poor Justine she's just a hunk of trash who wants attention so badly that she's clawed her way up in a business she's not at all suited for because it's the only way anyone will pay attention to her. Her alternate pronouncers are entertaining I'll give her that. Very bizarre but good for a daily laugh. Before the internet someone like Justine would have just jumped on a stripper pole. A little too old for it at this point so instagram it is.

    1. Hopin and thinkin and wishin and prayin. If it doesn't happen now there's no chance for KRON to rise again. The last GM started by getting rid of Pero now they need to get the rest of his leftover dung out. Do it now or hold your peace forever. Sure would love to see a real news leader come in and watch KRON rise from the ashes. KTVU is on the way down this would be a great time to do it.

  6. Oh if we're starting a wish list how about anchors who look like they're old enough to drive? 10pm show on KRON looks like Kidz Beat.

  7. Joke. You won't see any changes. One GM cannot make a difference at a station owned by Nexstar.

  8. High School reporters can do a better job than KRON.
