A's Sacramento Media is Full of Utter BS--Here's How

  1. Lieberman, the A's are in the equivalent of MLB Purgatory. Neither, Heaven nor Hell. Kind of like a weird form of spasmodic peristalsis, where the teams movements are being propelled in a questionable trajectory. Shit.I don't even think they know themselves, just making it up as they go?The whole damn thing is an utter embarrassment and ownership should be run roughshod over. Some interesting facts: Sutter Field, their former AAA home has been renovated to hold just over 14,000 at a cost of just under 15M. The Giants previously acquired ownership of Papago Park the A's practice facility in Scottsdale, AZ. The organization invested 65M into a new state of the art training player/practice facility set on 33 acres. It is amazing! Leaps and bounds over Indian School which was a fucking joke. Kind of like Papago when the A's played there. Presence. It's all about presence. The Giants have it big-time and the A's are well in purgatory. We all are to keenly aware of what happens to those whom attempt to erase history. It does not bode well for them. The A's have tainted their history. Boxed it up, stacked it up in a rental storage shed covered in moving blankets. Doesn't matter that when the movers unpack the trailer in Las Vegas to their new house. It will always be a house and never a home. Tom Wolfe was right: "You Can't Go Home Again". The neighborhoods changed...so have the neighbors. Too bad.

  2. I blame MLB for allowing the Sacramento move. The players and fans deserve better.

Calling Chris Townsend a "kiss-ass" is probably a little harsh. He shouldn't mention Oakland anymore, just like Oakland shouldn't mention Kansas City. So I think he and other broadcasters are handling the situation correctly. However, he is somewhat "two-face." He knows the Sac move is terrible for baseball, but he has mentioned a few times on his show that it's part of evolution, and people need to adapt to change. Personally, I rather he not say that and not talk about anything related to the move. Just stick with baseball.

Lastly, it's great to hear the opposing broadcasters speak poorly about the move and I hope it continues throughout the season.

    1. If the team left on good terms, then speaking about their historic past is encouraged and appropriate, but since the owner yanked the team out of a city he never wanted to be in, it's expected that he wouldn't want the broadcasters to mention anything about Oakland. Ultimately, John Fisher should've never been allowed to have any ownership rights to the A's. He's the antithesis of what a sports team owner should be.

  3. Fisher is to Oakland what Art Modell was to Cleveland.

    1. I understand SPD South Metro Div. has implemented new policy re: Moving violations and parking infractions. In lieu of a written citation, the offending parties will be issued A's game tickets which will require proof of validation at gate entrance, remittance returned to city services to avoid incurring fines.
